The Alpine CT is built on Weatherby's bolt action rifle platform, the Model 307. Meant to complement the historic Mark V and Vanguard lineups, the Model 307 action is a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action compatible with many aftermarket accessories. Model 307 is designed to accommodate the vast offerings of stocks, triggers, rails and mounts that exist in today's marketplace. Weatherby teamed up with PEAK 44, the PEAK 44 Bastion stock weighs in at 24 ounces and uses a proprietary 3D-Hex recoil pad to reduce the effects of recoil. In the Alpine CT lines, the BSF barrel is threaded and comes with the all new directional self-timing brake. The receiver and muzzle brake are coated in a durable Cerakote and the carbon fiber stock is hand-painted.

Weatherby 7mm backcountry 307 Alpine CT
Ordering and shipping went as planned - no issues. Gun shoots great. Shooting federal fusion 175gr. To start with. First 3 shots from gun at 100 yds were less than 3/4 MOA. Did have some 3 shot groups at just over 1 MOA also from the box of ammo but it was very windy out also. Last 3 shots from gun all 3 holes fit in .3 MOA. Gun is extremely light topped off with Vortex Razor 4.5x22 HD Lite scope (21 oz) and Silencer Central Scythe TI suppressor (7.3oz). Very light gun and still doesn’t recoil bad at all. Great recoil pad. So far it’s been a real nice and accurate gun
