The SX4 Compact is very big on features. You get all the SX4 functional and ergonomic advantages . . . all in a slightly more compact version that is ideal for smaller shooters. The inch and a quarter shorter length of pull allows for a more natural mounting of the pad to the shoulder and brings the hands (and balance) slightly rearward, making it easer to point and to hold the shotgun to shoulder for a more accurate shot.
The TruGlo fiber optic sight is a huge aid for acquiring fast targets. The recoil pad utilizing Inflex Technology takes the punch out of the recoil by pulling the comb down and away from the face slightly when shooting and the special material sucks up recoil headed to the shoulder. All in all we think it is the ideal autoloading shotgun.
The look of select walnut is purely classic. Not just because if looks great, but because the weight distribution of a walnut stock is practically perfect. Balance is between the hands and the feel on a cold day is superb.
