The Radical Defense KFM taper-lock flash hider is a RD in-house designed silencer mount. It was made for an agency requirement to reduce flash and visual signature by 90% when compared to a standard A2 birdcage. At the same time the footprint could not exceed a standard A2 birdcage. The KFM is the smaller flash hider suppressor mount that was able to be designed while meeting all of the required specifications.
Adaptable all the way from 5.56mm carbines to 12.7mm machine guns with various thread pitches available the KFM is the standardized mount to install RD suppressors for whatever the mission set.
