Due to overwhelming demand and supply chain issues Hornady has suspended Nickel plating on their Critical Defense series during this time. This does not affect the performance of the ammunition just the look of the casing. Hornady will be reviewing returning to Nickel Plating at the end of 2021

These Hornady 410 Critical Defense Shotgun slugs were specifically designed to deliver a tight shot pattern for man-sized targets at a range of 7 yards. These slugs feature Hornady's innovative Triple Defense projectile stack which includes two 35-caliber balls with a non-jacketed FTX slug on top.
